SHOP POLICIES, SIZING, AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Shipping Policies
Currently parcels will only be shipped to Canadian destinations. Items are shipped via Canada Post with tracking. I am not responsible for the parcel once it has been shipped. Shipping cost is included in price of item.
Customers living in Kingston Ontario may contact me to arrange for pick-up or delivery (and for pricing without shipping included); customers living close to Kingston may arrange for curbside pick-up.
Returns and Exchanges
I do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations. If you have a problem with your order, please contact me. I do my best to take photos in natural light so that colours will be accurate, but there is no guarantee the colour will be exactly what you expect, as colours look somewhat different on different computer screens.
Sizing of Hats
Here are instructions for measuring your head so that you can gauge whether one of my in-stock hats will fit you or so I can make a custom hat for you. Dimensions and sizing are given in the individual item descriptions. Knit fabric is stretchy, so dimensions are approximate and I try to give the size of head that an item will best fit.
Three measurements are needed. If you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can use a string, mark it and measure the string flat afterwards.
1) Measure the circumference of your head, positioning the measuring tape slightly above your eyebrows and going around your head just above the top of your ears and at the bump at the back (not below the bump!). The measuring tape should be not too loose and not too tight.
2) Measure side-to-side, from the top tip of one ear over the top of your head to the top tip of the other ear.
3) Measure front-to-back, from your forehead over the top of your head to the back, beginning and ending at the points where you placed the lower edge of the measuring tape for your circumference measurement.
Here’s a video with excellent instructions for measuring the circumference of your head (not my video, this is from the wonderful hat company Goorin Bros, which I have no connection to except that my husband loves and wears their hats) https://www.goorin.com/pages/choosing-a-hat
Sizing of Winter and Summer Bracelets
Measure around your wrist, positioning the measuring tape between the two bones on each side. Again, not too loose, not too tight!
Small: Fits 5.5" - 6.5" wrist
Medium: Fits 6" - 7" wrist
Large: Fits 6.5" - 7.5" wrist
Care Instructions
All of my bracelets and scarves and most of my hats are best hand washed with a product made for washing delicate fabrics, such as Eucalan or Soak. Put a small amount of either of these liquid soaps in a small tub of cool water, soak the item for 15 minutes, no need to rinse if you are using one of these two products. Place the item on a clean towel, fold the towel over it and press to blot out some of the moisture. Let it sit for a bit for the towel to soak up more of the moisture, then unroll and place the item flat on a clean dry towel to finish drying. Hats can instead be placed on a small bowl (or hat form!) until dry.
